Recommended Potency: D12
Characteristics
According to Dr. Wilhelm Heinrich Schuessler, a variety of complaints or illnesses occur as a result of a deficiency Aurum chloratum. During periods of high physical or mental stress, the reserves of Aurum chloratum in the body’s cells are increasingly depleted. It is particularly abundant in the brain and aorta.
Practitioners use Schüßler Salt No. 25, Aurum chloratum natronatum, to address a wide range of women’s issues as well as complaints related to the cardiovascular system, central nervous system, immune system, liver, and musculoskeletal system.
Indications of a deficiency in Aurum chloratum natronatum may include sleep disturbances or nighttime headaches, as well as frequent mood swings.
Aurum chloratum natronatum is believed to have a positive effect on the rhythmic cycles of the human body. It is thought to indirectly influence the pineal gland (epiphysis) in the brain, prompting it to release increased levels of the hormone melatonin. Melatonin is primarily released in darkness, typically in the evening or at night, promoting sleep and regulating the sleep-wake cycle. Therefore, it is used when issues such as sleep disorders, jet lag, or problems related to shift work arise.
Another important role of Aurum chloratum natronatum, according to Schüßler, is in peripheral circulation (such as in the arms and legs) and blood pressure regulation. Additionally, it is believed to be involved in regulating core body temperature.
Mode of Action
Schüßler Salt No. 25, Aurum chloratum natronatum, is said to influence all bodily rhythms, such as the sleep-wake cycle or the female menstrual cycle. Therefore, it is administered, among other uses, for sleep disorders and menstrual discomfort, often in the twelfth potency as Aurum chloratum natronatum D12.
Signs of Deficiency and Functional Disorders
Schüßler Salt No. 25, Aurum chloratum natronatum, is used to treat the following symptoms or conditions – typically as a supportive measure alongside conventional medical treatment:
- Heart conditions (such as arrhythmias), arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries), and angina pectoris symptoms
- Depressive moods
- Sleep disorders, jet lag, shift work
- Menstrual discomfort, irregular periods, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), hormonal fluctuations (especially in women), menopausal symptoms
- Cysts, myomas (benign muscle tumors), inflammations of the female reproductive organs
- Polyps of the stomach or intestines
- Inflammations and hardenings of the testicles
- Nighttime bone pain, joint discomfort
Therapists often administer Schüßler Salt No. 25 in combination with other Schüßler salts for blood pressure reduction.
Schüßler Salt Deficiency and Psychological Causes
According to Schüßler, certain character structures lead to an excessive consumption of specific salts. Aurum chloratum natronatum, for instance, is said to be needed more by individuals with obsessive characteristics who rigidly adhere to external norms and rules rather than following their own rhythms. Therapists recommend that to break free from these constraints, one should listen more to their intuition and inner rhythms.
However, it’s important to note that just because there are signs of deficiency, it doesn’t necessarily mean there are problematic character traits at play.
It’s also a misconception to believe that taking a mineral salt will simply “cure” an obsessive character. Instead, the administration of the salt for which there may be a deficiency is intended to facilitate individuals in addressing their compulsions and problems by resolving internal blockages and restoring biochemical balance.
Signs of deficiency that show in the face
According to Schüßler, a deficiency in salts can often be recognized directly on the face. Such indications are known for most salts, but not for Aurum chloratum natronatum.
Possible Initial Worsening
After taking Lithium chloratum, rheumatic or gout-like symptoms can occur due to rapid urine breakdown. In case of a deficiency of Lithium chloratum, the following three complaints often occur together (triad):
- gouty-rheumatic symptoms
- inflammation of the kidneys and urinary tract
- depressive mood
Further information
Symptoms caused by a deficiency in Aurum chloratum natronatum may improve or worsen depending on certain situations. Improvement, for example, is observed outdoors, while worsening may occur in cold weather, during winter, or at night.
Aurum chloratum natronatum appears to work relatively quickly for certain applications, such as jet lag and sleep disorders, but slower for others.
